Woman Getting Wise Before Your Eyes
I’m Jason Merchey, a philosophical thinker, writer, and student of philosophy/ethics at Harvard University Extension School. I also earned a master’s in psychology back in 2000, and a bachelor’s in psychology and social behavior (1997). I have been a psychotherapist, writing tutor, restauranteur, behavior therapist for autistic children, group home worker, and research assistant. For 15 years now I have been collecting quotations about wisdom, ethics, values and such. Almost daily now I write blogs about wisdom, ethics, values, personal growth, social criticism, philosophy, critical thinking, applied psychology, social and economic justice, and quotations.
I love quotations and must have read 10,000 hours by now (and copied down, organized, and presented 34,000 quotations about wisdom and other values such as truth, justice, creativity, humor, and passion).
Access the free, deep, expansive, amazing quotations database called The Wisdom Archive. It’s truly a stand-out quote search engine. Next to the blogs about wisdom, values and ethics, it is the crown jewel here at Values of the Wise
I call the values I am most interested in the values of the wise. My main goal with all my blogs about wisdom and virtues is to assist folks in obtaining the most fulfilling and moral lives possible – what I call a life of value. Below are some highlights from blogs about wisdom, values, philosophy, psychology, economics, and politics I have written in the past 16 months – and I’m proud to report I have just reached 400 posts here on Values of the Wise (which includes about 85 podcasts about values and ethics). Enjoy.
