Detail is apparent whenever there is a well-lit location or outdoor set piece, but the movie's production design is so lackluster there just really isn't much to see. Most of the acting from this group of girls is pretty even. Sarah (the gorgeous Sky McDonald) has a tonne of sass and isn’t one to take any attitude from her peers. If there’s a constant in Wynorski’s modus operandi it’s that he has a knack for casting some of the most gorgeous women, I’m not sure how he does it (haha) but I’m bloody glad he does! He’s had over 30 years in the industry and it shows on-screen and with his cast and crew. Uncle Peckerhead (Review) He’s the roadie from hell! The script has some embarrassing dialogue at times and a couple of dim-witted scenes to help advance the plot didn’t bolster it. action, No doubt tailor made for airing on late night cable television, “Sharkansas Women’s Prison Massacre” is a goofy PG-13 crime thriller with a bunch of land roving sharks that apparently make their victims explode upon contact. |. Here over here. The film only runs about 80 minutes, so there isn’t any of that pointless exposition no one cares about dragging it out unnecessarily. She remains the nicest and most relatable of the characters. If they were potentially a danger to the guards or those around them they’d probably be wearing handcuffs and sporting orange jumpsuits, not frolicking around in the autumn leaves and that’s one of several things that make this movie hilarious. Even all the external shots have that white glow wash over the actresses faces. With Dominique Swain, Traci Lords, Christine Nguyen, Cindy Lucas. It's just not as bad as its pedigree says it should be. Moreover, while he comes armed with an hilarious title and conceptual mash-up, Sharkansas Women’s Prison Massacre never fully hits the stride that Sharknado and some of the more preposterous films among the gonzo shark fad do. The other key aspect to the success of a creature feature comes down to effects and action sequences you introduce. There’s a lot of steady framing and smart shot choices, as well as some nice wide shots and careful tracking in the lead up to when we first see the shark. All Critics (2) There are no approved quotes yet for this movie. Sharkansas Women's Prison Massacre is about a fracking operation that accidentally cracks open the Earth's crust, letting out some prehistoric sharks who start attacking people in a swamp, but later start burrowing through land to get at a group of sexy inmates who recently escaped their work detail. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. Given the genre and its usually lazy, by the book method I was surprised at the quality of the cinematography. When a fracking mishap accidentally rips apart the earth’s crust, the resulting hole opens up a gaping underground water way to a vast and mysterious ocean somewhere deep below. However, I acknowledge that’s clever in its own way especially if you don’t have a sizable budget to make it look good. Much to my surprise, whenever Lords was on the screen it was a hard sell and the scenes involving her and her partner never felt like they fit. You can be sure anything of his is bound to shell out exuberant amounts of T & A, let’s face it that’s a big part of the reason you’d watch a film called “Sharkansas Women’s Prison Massacre” or “Cleavagefield”, “The Breastford Wives” I could go on, and on and on and on (haha).
