Peace is one of humanity’s highest aspirations, and our birthright. Yet, it is elusive, and becoming more so. To explore this simple yet complicated topic, Dee Aker, PhD, the Deputy Director of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice at the University of San Diego, shared her words of wisdom with the listener about values and ethics, peacemaking and the pursuit of global justice. She was joined by the equally-remarkable Louise Diamond, PhD, of The Peace Company, who is a committed author, thinker, and activist for peace. Since they both do work in conflict settings and are trying to make the world a, literally, better place, “ethics in action” is something both guests know intimately.
